Changdeokgungdesignated as World Heritage

Changdeokgung is a detached palace of Kyungbokgung and keeps the most well-preserved original shape among existing palaces of Joseon Dynasty. It was built along a mountain slope and is in the harmony with nature in making a garden. It is designated as World Heritage in 1997 and located within 50 m, 1 minute walking distance from the hotel.

Gyeongbok gung

Built in 1395 as a main palace of Jo-seon Dynasty for 500 years, there still remain Geunjungjeon for official events and the king and queen’s residences. It has a royal museum displaying royal palace culture and a folk museum displaying korean life history. It is located within 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel.

Insadong street

Korean traditional cultural street with antique art works and old bookstores. Traditional cafes and craft workshops stand close together. It has many art galleries and offers a venue for various street performances. It is located within 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel.

Bukchon hanok village

An old residential district where royals and nobles lived in Joseon Dynasty, containing about 900 Korean traditional houses (hanok), and is formed between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung. It is located within 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel.

Cheonggyecheon

Cheonggyecheon had been a little natural waterway of 5.84Km, running from Gwanghwamun to Dongdaemun. It was used as a road covered with asphalt pavement but opened as an ecological waters after 3-year of restoration project in 2005. It features 22 bridges, 9 fountains and remains of Joseon Dynasty found during restoration along the stream.
